City PTA

The City Parent Teacher Association consists of PTA members from the Cedar Rapids Community Schools PTA's. A board of officers is elected annually by the membership which include a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. These officers appoint legislative, communications, and bylaws chairs to serve on the executive committee.

The City PTA mission statement

To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in school, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children
To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children
To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation
