The week of February 1 marks National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association. The recognition focuses attention on the unique contribution of professional school counselors and how students are supported by their efforts.
“National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career,” noted Tracie Guenther-Yoke, Learning Supports Facilitator. “Counselors in the Cedar Rapids Community School District work all day, every day to help meet the social, emotional and academic needs of students. In addition, they set annual goals to address specific needs of their building.”
We’re pleased to celebrate our counselors!
