Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus

MRSA is Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus, a potentially dangerous type of staph bacteria that is resistant to certain antibiotics and may cause skin and other infections.

Our district has developed a MRSA task force that includes school nurses, the custodial/grounds manager and a human resources administrator. The task force has developed educational materials for staff, students and families. The goal of the task force is to educate in order to prevent the spread of MRSA.
