Safety Data Sheets
Safety Data Sheets are an important component of the Hazard Communication Program, also known as Right-To-Know. This program is to ensure employers and employees are informed about the potential hazards of materials used within the workplaces.
Having and maintaining SDS is an OSHA requirement.
In order to be compliant, when using a new product contact Lu Patterson-Sisco at 319-558-1188. You will need to provide the name of the product and the manufacturer’s name. If you are unsure whether an SDS may be required, please check out the helpful hints.
The CRCSD has both paper copies (available in the Purchasing Department) and an online catalog available.
