The Cedar Rapids Community School District is inviting input from parents, staff, and community members regarding the development of the 2016-2017 District calendar.

Members of the Calendar Committee will consider all feedback in developing a calendar for the Superintendent to recommend to the Board of Directors.  Calendar Committee members include parents, PTA members, non-public school representatives, teachers, representatives from the Cedar Rapids Education Association, and employees from the paraprofessional, food and nutrition, and transportation work groups.

“Stakeholder input will be very helpful as the committee works together to develop a calendar that is reflective of the learning needs of students and staff, and our effort to collaborate with the broader community and educational entities to provide optimal educational experiences for our students,” said Mary Ellen Maske, Deputy Superintendent.

The District calendar is made up of student instructional days, holidays, parent-teacher conference dates, professional learning dates, and staff progress reporting days. Click here for the 2015-16 calendar
