The Jefferson High School Booster Club has been recognized as the Class 4A Booster Club of the Year in Iowa. The Jefferson Boosters raise nearly $100,000 annually to support JHS activities.
Additionally, the summer softball concession stand, known as “The Cabin,” received the award for best concession stand of the year award from all classes. The concession stand is known for preparing a wide array of items, including grilled salmon and mahi-mahi, and strawberry shortcake.
“Jefferson High School is thankful for the many volunteers who work its stands,” noted Scott Kibby, Activities Director. “Many of these volunteers no longer have children attending the school but pitch in anyway.”
Current JHS Booster Club officers are Mark Fiala, Mike Kadlec, Bob Hackney, Cyndy Hilby, and Dick Langguth.
