.

The weather-related school cancellation on Friday, Jan. 16,
will be made up on Thursday, June 11, 2009.

All of these dates were established as make-up dates on the 2008-09 calendar. The final day of classes for students (whatever date that ends up being) will be an early dismissal day.

NOTE: To provide needed instructional time in credit courses and advanced placement courses, Jefferson, Kennedy, and Washington high schools will be in session all day on Feb. 6, Feb. 16, April 10, and April 24. These dates had been identified on the 2008-2009 District calendar as early-dismissal in-service dates. In exchange, the afternoons of snow make-up days scheduled for June 8-11 will become early dismissal days for the three high schools. Afternoons will be used for professional staff development. This change applies only to the three conventional high schools. All District elementary and middle schools, as well as Metro High School, will follow the original schedule.
