Students in the Cedar Rapids Community School District marked the 100th day of the school year on Tuesday, Feb. 10. Some schools participated in special learning activities to mark the occasion. Among the events were PE fitness stations that included making one hundred balloon hits, completing 100 sit-ups and push-ups, tossing and catching a ball 100 times, and the 100-yard dash. Several kindergarten classes spent the day measuring and weighing 100 items, sharing what they would buy with $100 dollars; making special 100th day hats, and creating a special 100-day snack using 10 ingredients and counting out 10 for each ingredient.
