Metro High School students and staff members joined forces with Indian Creek Nature staff and community volunteers late last spring to continue work on the development of an Outdoor Classroom at the Indian Creek Nature Center. Projects included the building of a limestone stage area, construction of a platform around the frog pond so little ones can lay on their belly and catch frogs, installation of landscaping fabric and mulching, and upgrading pathways.
“This was a big push in the plan to create an outdoor classroom that will be completed next fall,” explained Lynette Richards, Metro Counselor.
