More than 130 Kennedy High School students participated in the school’s annual Homeless Night earlier in November.
The overnight event, organized by the student government organization, is designed to raise awareness and inspire students and community members to donate canned goods, gently used coats and blankets, and money to support local shelters.
The 2009 event resulted in the collection of over 100 coats and blankets, 1,145 canned goods and raised over $2,000 which will all be donated!
