Students at Wilson School helped to set a new sport stacking record earlier this month as part of the World Sport Stacking Association’s Stack Up! event. The middle school students used specially designed cups to stack up and down in prescribed patterns at high speeds.

Stackers raced against the clock, competed in relays, and stacked in a variety of fitness activities. The Wilson group was among nearly 1,500 schools across the nation participating on the same date in an attempt to break last year’s World Record of 222,560 people sport stacking in multiple locations in one day.

According to Wilson teacher Lois Robison the event promotes hand eye coordination, fitness, teamwork, and speed while allowing students to have a great time!
