Cedar Rapids Council PTA

The Cedar Rapids Council PTA is made up of members from local PTA units in the Cedar Rapids Community School District. A board of officers, which include a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer, is elected annually by the membership. These officers appoint legislative, communications, and bylaws chairs to serve on the executive committee.

The Cedar Rapids Council PTA Mission Statement

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in school, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; and
  • To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and
  • To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
