Record Numbers for Zach Johnson Classic

The 6th Annual Zach Johnson Foundation Classic raised over $1 million for the Kids on Course and Kids on Course University programs. Attendance at the event was also at an all-time high.

The golf tournament – featuring pros and celebrity players – is estimated to have raised some $950,000. The gala held the evening before raised $305,000.

The Kids on Course program is in place at Van Buren, Grant, and Harrison elementary schools, as well as at Roosevelt and Wilson middle schools. Kids on Course provides tutoring, enrichment, parent engagement strategies and health supports to put students on course to graduate college.Kids on Course University – which begins July 5 – is held at Super Site locations at Garfield, Cleveland, Harrison, Hiawatha, and Grant Wood elementary schools. Some 650 students from 15 of the District’s Title 1 schools will participate in the summer program that will include instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as enrichment programming and field trips.
