Buildings and Grounds

About Us:
Taking care of one of the largest school districts in the state, the Buildings and Grounds department is responsible for the maintenance, safety and security, and facility infrastructure upgrades of all the buildings. Currently that includes 21 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools as well as administrative and support facilities. This is no small feat considering that the oldest building currently being used was built in 1914, while the newest building, the Educational Leadership and Support Center, was just completed in 2012. Like the individuality of the students who attend our schools, each building has its own characteristics and needs. Under the careful guidance of the Buildings and Grounds manager and the well trained Buildings and Grounds staff, they are able to meet the building’s needs in a positive, timely and professional manner.
