    COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination now available to age 16+ students

    Cedar Rapids Community School District, in partnership with Linn County Public Health, will provide the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at Kennedy, Jefferson, Washington, and Metro high schools for students who choose to be vaccinated. Note: students must be 16 years of age and written parental consent is required.​

    Jefferson Academic Decathlon Places Fifth Nationally

    Not only did the Jefferson High School academic decathlon team win the state championship for the 21st year in a row, but they also placed fourth in their division and fifth overall out of 41 teams in this year’s national competition. Both of these ratings are the highest for the Jefferson team in their 31-year history.

    Congratulations to the 2021 Leadership for Five Seasons Graduates

    Cedar Rapids Community School District congratulates this year's juniors who graduated from the Leadership for Five Seasons, sponsored by the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance. This youth program identifies metro area high school students who are community-minded and demonstrate leadership qualities.
