“The kids, the staff, our families...
they all make my job so great. I love coming to work each day. Everyday is different and sometimes an adventure. The smiles and faces, the way we are a family at Hoover. We always come together to help each other out. I see that in our students and our staff. Can't imagine working anywhere else."
At Hoover, students who are identified as speaking another language at home qualify for English Language Learners. The ELL staff at Hoover works with around 125 kids for forty minutes a day, who come from 25 different countries and speak 24 different languages.

What she loves about her job at Hoover?
“The best thing about Hoover is the kids. I really do like the kids here, I like the kids we serve and work with. I like the flexibility of the staff and how our principal is flexible enough to let us try new things and not be upset if things don't go the way that they are supposed to go right away."
What started as a reward for accomplishing his goals for the week has transformed into leading the school for over four years. Meet this showman, fifth grader Jacob, who embodies the heart of Hoover.
