Meet Gracie - 2nd Grader at Johnson STEAM Academy
During Discovery Day class, Gracie chose to be part of the Creating Comics. She learned the process of how people made comic books.
Her reflections from that day.
"It taught me about art because you have to be using coloring and coloring is art. There is a writer, a person that draws the pictures, and then one person that colors that pictures. We were learning that people makes books to teach us about engineering, art, and math.
Something that makes Johnson STEAM Academy unique is the free offers that they provide to students for before and after-school enrichment activities. All revolving around the offerings of STEAM. #OurStoriesCRCSD
Project Based Learning is alive and well at #OurStoriesCRCSD Johnson STEAM Academy. Recently, JSA students explored and learned about different habitats. Then they turned their classrooms into those different habitats to further their understanding.
