What are the responsibilities of your office or department? 
The Deputy Superintendent is responsible for direct administrative supervision of the Office of Learning and Leadership, which includes the departments of Culture/Climate Transformation, Teaching and Learning, School Supports, Special Services, and Digital Literacy & Information Technology. The Deputy Superintendent is also responsible for leading PK-12 equity initiatives aligned with the District Vision, Strategic Plan, and Equity Belief Statement to assure that equitable practices exist for all students and staff. In addition, the Deputy Superintendent assists the Superintendent in providing leadership in developing, achieving, and maintaining quality educational programs and services that are aligned with the district mission and serves as the acting chief administrator at the request of, or in the absence of, the Superintendent.  The Deputy Superintendent looks in on the system and assists with all operational, procedural, and administrative components to support all the departments within the organization.

Fun Facts about Nicole: 
I am passionate about education and ensuring that we provide all students with the skills, resources, and knowledge they need to be future ready.  I enjoy the connections I can make and the relationships I can form while having a positive impact on a system.  I also enjoy being a part of a collaborative team that strives to have results for each and every learner.  

I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  I also enjoy outdoor activities during the summer months as well as traveling to new locations.
